Radical judges in Louisiana tried to block women nationwide from getting mifepristone – the proven safe and effective medication abortion pill – through the mail or telehealth. |
A few days later, the Supreme Court paused that ruling while they review the case. This means that for now, there are no new restrictions on mifepristone. |
But that could change any day. So I led every Senate Democrat in a brief to the Supreme Court to make clear what the science has proven for decades: mifepristone is safe and effective. |
This decision by extremist judges wasn’t about science. It is about controlling women's bodies and moving our country closer and closer to a national abortion ban. |
