I need to fill you in:

I made the decision to approve new TV ads – knowing we don’t have the money for them yet. It's a risky choice.

Here's why we needed our ads on the air early: Experts predict that Ohio’s Senate race could be the closest in the country – and a recent poll shows me 1 point down against Jon Husted, who has the full backing of National Republicans.

Look, I’m no stranger to tough fights. But shortly after the GOP’s super PAC announced a $79 million investment in this race, Husted’s super PAC started blanketing the airwaves with more attacks smearing my name.

Facing an onslaught of Republican attacks and millions of dollars of outside spending, I simply HAD to give my team the green light for TV ads of our own. It’s the only way we’ll be able to cut through the noise and reach Ohio voters with the truth.
