In the past week, Donald Trump has escalated his targeting of California:
- Illegally withholding federal funding
- Unlawfully detaining Californians without due process
- Seizing our National Guard
- Threatening to arrest our sitting governor
Every American should be worried about this, whether you and your loved ones live in California or not—because if the president can overstep in California without repercussions, he can do it anywhere in the country.
These are the actions of a wannabe dictator, and Trump is clearly looking to see how far he can go.
As Donald Trump tries to expand his own power, we need to remind him that in our democracy, power belongs to the people.
Speak up. Volunteer. Donate. Peacefully protest.
