I know you get a lot of emails from my team, but this message is from me personally.
We're coming up on a big deadline at the end of June, and I'm hoping you can chip in $5 or whatever you can spare.
Campaigns are tough. Especially in a big state like California, there's a lot of people we have to communicate with. Add in the fact that we're home to some of the nation's most expensive media markets for advertising, and funding a winning campaign is an even bigger challenge.
But here's the thing. I'm not afraid of hard work, and I never have been. Every single campaign I've ever run has been a competitive race. That's what democracy should look like—real debates with voters having real choices.
I was able to get elected as a first time candidate in 2018—and again twice more—thanks to Porter Supporters like you. Together, we proved the naysayers wrong and showed them that we can win elections by doing things differently and energizing the electorate.
I need your help again. Our fundraising deadline on June 30th is the first time we'll have to report how much we've raised in this campaign for governor. I want to post a strong number to demonstrate exactly how powerful this grassroots movement is.
