Recently, Katie’s taken the debate stage and said what a lot of Californians are living: rents that are out of control, child care costs that don’t add up, and everyday prices squeezing working families at every turn.
She talked about her plans for free child care, tuition-free college degrees, less expensive housing, and eliminating state income tax for families making under $100,000.
The other people on stage—a self-funded billionaire, Big Oil–backed candidates, and Republicans eager to push Trump’s agenda in California—don’t understand what California families are struggling with.
