Our momentum is fading

Some good news: We ended July on a high note, proving this team knows how to step up when we need it most.

But now the bad news: We came up short of our goal last night. It was our first goal of August, and we were hoping to avoid a summer slump. Now we need to prove July wasn’t a fluke.

Here’s why that matters: Grassroots donations are critical to a campaign like ours. Sherrod isn’t relying on billionaire CEOs or corporate special interests to power this campaign. He’s counting on regular people like you, chipping in what they can.

The hard truth is that National Republicans are spending more in Ohio than anywhere else – at least $133 million to attack Sherrod. So unless we see a surge of donations today, we simply won’t have the resources to keep up.
