We have an opportunity this November to change the course of our country.
Control of the Senate comes down to a net gain of four seats. Republicans know it as well as we do, and they are not planning to hold their majority by virtue of their policies and arguments. They are planning to outspend us.
Dark money donors. Handpicked self-funders. Super PACs behind every vulnerable Republican on the map. All to hold onto their Senate majority.
And we know what a Republican majority does with its oversight power, because we have watched it sit unused for two years. They will do nothing.
The president has personally taken in billions since taking office, and this Senate has not asked him or his cronies a single question about it under oath. He has gone after the machinery of our elections, and this Senate has called it overreach to object. A Senate that will not use its subpoena power is a Senate that has decided the president answers to no one.
We must flip four seats to take power, and there are eight places to get them — North Carolina, Ohio, Maine, Alaska, Iowa, Florida, Mississippi and Texas. Every one is winnable and not one is safe.
A year ago, most people looking at this map would have said we had a brutal path. That changed because candidates decided to run in states that were not supposed to be competitive.
Our ability to hold Trump accountable depends on a Democratic Senate majority. So I am humbly asking you to please chip in $ $5 to End Citizens United and me to help us win the seats we need to flip the Senate →
