An important decision

Here's my thinking: Our TV ads are working. Especially the one that tells the truth about how Jon Husted became the face of data centers in Ohio. He recruited them here, cut them sweetheart deals, and then told Ohioans their rising electric bills were their own fault.

That message is landing because working people intuitively know they're getting screwed. And they're sick of it. Too many folks have been staring at higher bills, wondering what happened, and now they know.

The truth is that when working people find out who Jon Husted actually works for, they don't like the answer. Which is exactly why I couldn't let those ads go dark.

It matters because several election experts now have this race as a Toss Up, and National Republicans have committed $133 million to try to buy this seat. Every one of those dollars is aimed at drowning us out so Ohioans never hear the truth about Husted and data centers.

So I made the call. Senate control comes down to this race, and we can't play it safe at the exact moment when voters are highly tuned in.
