Here’s how we take our country back

Friend, this year, we’re going to flip Montana’s 1st Congressional District from red to blue.

And when we do, we’ll make sure Congress starts working for working people again.

The numbers back it up: analysts found that in 2025, Democrats did about 13 points better in contested elections than they had in 2024. Not only is that more than Donald Trump and Ryan Zinke’s 2024 margins in MT-01, we know that Jon Tester won this district in Montana that same year.

This race is completely winnable, but we need to win in a way that brings working people back to the Democratic party so we can build lasting power. We can do that, but I’ll need your help.

I also know that Democrats have real, deep work to do to win back working people’s trust.

As a smokejumper and union leader, I have worked alongside the folks we’ve been losing. I understand what it’s like to work 1,000 hours of overtime and still be holding on by my fingernails. We can build a winning campaign and rebuild the Democratic Party one honest conversation at a time.

We need to prove to working people that it’s worth engaging in the political process — that we can get Congress back to making people’s lives materially better by electing leaders who know what a hard day’s work looks like. I’ll fight for real, bold changes to fix health care, housing, and retirement by making corporations and the ultra-wealthy carry their own damn weight, just like the rest of us.
