Jeanne's Cookies: Just heard from Patrick, my campaign manager

Hi, I just got a text from my campaign manager, Patrick. He told me that even though we're only three days into August, we're already pacing way behind where we were at this point in July.

I know, we just closed out a strong month. But that's how fast this turns.

Here's the thing nobody tells you about August: It’s by far the hardest month to fund a grassroots campaign. Everybody's outside – at the lake, at the fair, catching a Guards game. I understand – that's exactly how a summer should be!

But our campaign doesn't get to slow down right now. If anything, we need to ramp up. We've got to keep our TV ads on the air, get more organizers knocking doors across all 88 counties, and keep reaching the voters who are deciding this thing.

National Republicans are spending millions in Ohio in the middle of August, betting that nobody's paying attention.

But let me make one thing clear: The GOP might outspend us in this race, but they will never outwork us. If we keep reaching Ohioans with our message, the polls show we have a clear path to victory.

So I'm asking: Will you donate $5 or more to power our movement, flip Ohio, and win back the Senate?
