Trying something different today

Hi there, summer is a notorious time for slow grassroots fundraising.

We’re certainly not immune, and it’s been a hard start to the month. I know folks are outside (hopefully staying cool!) and away from their inboxes – but I get concerned when I think about how much money the GOP is spending to defeat me. It’s now over $131 million.

So today, I’m lowering my ask to just $1 for you, in the hopes that as many folks as possible chip in today.

My team and I did the math, and if everyone reading this email donates, we’ll be able to close some of our immediate budget gaps in just a few minutes. That’s the power of a grassroots team.

Unlike my opponent, Republican Jon Husted, I’m not relying on billionaires and shady corporate interests to fund my campaign – I’m depending on you. That’s why I have to ask: Will you chip in $1 to help us win in Ohio and flip the Senate?
