While these outbreaks do happen, we have Trump and Health Secretary RFK Jr. to thank for making this one so much worse. Here's why: |
Trump and RFK Jr. pushed out thousands of staff and experts and slashed federal funding for the very programs that support state health departments charged with tracking these outbreaks. In fact, monitoring cyclospora used to be MANDATORY, until RFK Jr. made it optional. And here we are, a year later, in the worst outbreak in U.S. history. |
So if you know anyone who thinks politics doesn't impact their life, this parasite is proof otherwise – and a stark example of how your vote and your voice matter. That's why I need you to chime in on this time-sensitive survey. |
