Jeanne, like so many of you I am personally horrified and disappointed – but not surprised – by the Supreme Court's decision to strike down key parts of the Voting Rights Act and allow more extreme partisan gerrymandering to become the norm in our elections. There's no getting around it: This is a huge step backward in our fight for a more just and equal nation. But the emotion I'm taking away from yesterday's news is not anguish, it is determination.

Now, we must come together and defend our fundamental right to vote. We must exercise that right every single chance we are given and use it to elect leaders who will restore, protect and expand civil rights. If not us, then who?
So please, I am personally asking, will you take this opportunity to add your name next to mine in support of voting rights? Let's show the Supreme Court that we're watching, and we're NOT backing down. |

I can't think of a better way to reward Donald Trump and extreme Republicans' shady scheming than with MASSIVE loss in the midterms. Thanks for helping us make it happen.
¡La lucha sigue! The fight continues!
