In the midst of a shutdown, the Trump administration is refusing to fund SNAP—leaving millions of Americans worrying about their next meal.
More than 5.5 million Californians rely on SNAP benefits—what we know as CalFresh—to put food on the table for themselves and their families. Without that assistance, which Trump is withholding in November, food pantries are expecting a serious uptick of people in need of a meal.
Here's the good news: a court on Friday ordered the Trump Administration to at least partially fund this month's food assistance, but the program could still be billions of dollars short—and Trump could still challenge the ruling.
So today, we're asking this movement to come together to help Californians who need support right now.
Will you make a donation of any amount to the California Association of Food Banks?
Every dollar helps keep food banks stocked — especially for kids and working families who can't wait for Washington to get its act together.
Thank you for stepping up when it counts.
