Her mother, Faisa*, traveled an hour to a health center for treatment — but due to aid cuts, they’d run out of lifesaving prepackaged therapeutic milk. The supplement being used in its place wasn’t helping children recover as quickly, and staff only had a few months of medical supplies and salaries left. Throughout this unprecedented year, our teams have been at the forefront of some of the most devastating crises for children. - In Sudan, where 9.9 million people have been forcibly displaced, we run inclusive education programs and support over 400 schools to help children continue learning.
- In Gaza, where famine has been confirmed, our two clinics have provided medical interventions, supplements and high calorie biscuits and pastes to malnourished children and mothers — reaching over 113,000 people, including over 42,000 children.
- In Myanmar, where a 7.7 magnitude earthquake destroyed lives and livelihoods, we’ve distributed clean water, emergency kits and other essentials to over 180,000 people, including nearly 50,000 children.
