Like their namesakes, they're principled, hardworking, and dedicated to fighting for working people. ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏
 | | | | Friend, I want to introduce you to two very important guys in my life: | | Our rescue dog, Franklin. | | | And our other rescue dog, Walter. | | | Franklin is named after President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Here he is in 1935 signing The Social Security Act into law – a groundbreaking piece of legislation that created America's social safety net and ensured that folks who worked hard were able to retire with dignity. | | | Walter is named after former United Auto Workers President Walter Reuther. He's fourth from the left in the picture below, taken at the 1963 March on Washington. He was one of the "Big Ten" organizers of that historic march. | | | Like their namesakes, Franklin and Walter are principled, hardworking, and dedicated to fighting for working people. They give their all to whatever they set their minds to (they're dogs with bones, so to speak) – and that includes helping me win this race. | | So today, they're kindly asking for your support. They were trained not to beg. | | | Will you chip in $5 or more to help us flip Ohio's Senate seat and build a brighter future for all – not just those at the very top? Any amount makes a huge difference. Plus, these two good boys deserve a little treat. | | | | Thank you, | | Sherrod, Franklin 🐶, and Walter 🐶 | | | | | | |
