Another self-funding billionaire just announced he's running for governor of California.
My new opponent is claiming he'll fight the very industries he got rich helping grow—fossil fuel companies, tobacco, and private immigration detention facilities—at great cost to Californians. I call bullshit.
Californians are looking for a fighter—not an out of touch billionaire with no skin in the game.
But there are now more billionaires running for California Governor than single moms like me who understand the pinch of rising costs.
Winning a statewide election in California requires a lot of money. Our campaign will need to raise millions of dollars to reach voters and keep our Democratic frontrunner status.
