I didn’t plan on writing this, but you deserve to know what our campaign is facing. Unfortunately, this one isn’t going to be good news. |
You might be surprised to hear that our Google and Facebook ads account for 25% of our total online fundraising every week. We have a massive digital outreach program, and they’re one of the best ways we can mobilize supporters and ensure folks can easily engage with our campaign. |
We saw a strong surge of support around our final FEC deadline on October 14, but this weekend, our ads hit a wall. |
We only brought in half of the revenue we were expecting from Google and Facebook. It looks like our ads were running properly, so we’re still digging in to see what happened. We’re learning more in real time, but here’s what we know for sure: we have a major budget gap on the same day we have to wire TV stations in Ohio for this week’s set of ads. |
Look, asking for money is my least favorite part of running for Senate, but that’s what I need to do. If we can’t make up for our weekend fallback, we will have to scale back on our TV program at the worst possible time (just 15 days out from Election Day). Republicans outspent us by $10 million last week and Ohioans are already voting early. I need your help so we can continue sharing our message. |
I’m proud of this team we’re building. We’re leading the charge to do something remarkable and flip this seat. I’m always going to lead with honesty – and I won’t sound the alarm unless it really matters. |
This is one of those times. |
We can win this race, but we can’t take it for granted. When one part of our program misses the mark, we need supporters like you to step up to make up the difference. |
If you can chip in to help my campaign make up for this setback, it’d mean a lot to me. The big money against us is loud, but it isn’t unbeatable. You can donate to our campaign’s ActBlue by clicking here, or you can click the button below, to have an immediate impact. |

Banks close at 5:00 PM ET, so it’d mean a lot if you can step up before then. |

Hey there! It's Sherrod Brown.
There's nobody fighting for Ohioans in the U.S. Senate right now, and I won't sit on the sidelines while working people get screwed over by large corporations and wealthy political donors.
If you work hard, you should be able to afford a decent life. But the reality is, life is too expensive. Costs are going up. Wages are staying stagnant. Working people are working harder than ever before, and they're not getting their share of the profit.
This campaign is all about changing that – and election analysts say we have a strong shot at winning in November.
But I'll need your help to pull it off: My opponent is a Washington insider being propped up by the Republican establishment, and he's got virtually unlimited resources.
That's not how our campaign works. We're a grassroots movement, and that means we rely on ordinary people chipping in a couple bucks. If you're able, please make a donation of any amount today. It could be what helps us flip Ohio and the Senate.
If you'd like to receive exclusive updates from my team, you can text "OHIO" to 64054.
Thank you.
