Hey, friend – Patty here. I'm following up on the approval poll I sent out about Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

Since we’re still just short of statistical significance, I've extended the deadline until 11:59 p.m. tonight.

Between the creation of a new “Office of Religious Affairs” reporting directly to himself and a 20% purge of the nation’s generals and admirals in his “State of the Force” address last week, it could not be more clear that Hegseth is absolutely the WRONG person for the job.

As disastrous as Hegseth’s tenure has been, a great deal of responsibility falls on my Republican colleagues in the Senate, who failed to push back against one of Trump’s most grossly unqualified and unfit nominees.

Sadly, it’s our servicemembers on U.S. soil and abroad, taxpayers at home, and innocent civilians around the globe who are paying the price for his arrogance and ineptitude.

So I'm demanding answers and accountability from Secretary Hegseth before Congress and the American people.

But since he only responds to bad publicity, we’ve got to hold his feet to the fire for as long as it takes for him to resign or get fired – and, Friend, that’s where you come in.
