But this is also personal. I was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio. My mother was a seamstress and my father a factory worker. Ohio is where I learned the values my parents instilled in me, the ones that still guide me today: hard work, compassion, resilience, and the belief that a better future is always possible. |
Ohio will always be home. It's my roots, my family, and where I first felt the love of a community that looks out for one another. The people of Ohio know these values, because they live them every day, and they deserve someone in the Senate who does too. |
I've stood with Sherrod through many races, and I've spent real time with him.
