November is a Social Security Election.
Social Security is on track to run out of money by 2032, triggering automatic benefit cuts, so the future of this entire program will be in the hands of the Senators we elect this fall. |
Democrats actually have plans to save Social Security for future generations, including scrapping the cap so the very wealthiest pay the same tax rate as everyone else.
Republicans have a different view. GOP mega-donor and the world’s first trillionaire, Elon Musk, called Social Security a “Ponzi scheme.” Trump’s Treasury Secretary has even suggested privatizing Social Security, and Speaker Johnson has already called for “adjustments” to Social Security – and we all know what that means: cuts. |
In fact, unlike every President before him, Trump hasn’t even bothered to put forward a plan to keep Social Security solvent with his annual budget request to Congress – doing nothing before it’s too late means automatic benefit cuts. |
That’s where you come in. With a Senate Democratic majority in the fall, we can take action to save Social Security and make sure it’s here for generations to come. NOW is the time to act. NOW is the time to make your voice heard. |
