Marni von Wilpert needs our support

At Donald Trump’s order, Republicans across the country gerrymandered congressional seats away from Democrats in a desperate attempt to hold onto power after the midterm elections.

But in California, voters passed Prop 50 to fight back and protect our democracy. Marni is one of the candidates running in a newly winnable district. Now, we have to have her back.

Marni is a San Diego City Councilmember who knows how to deliver real results for working families. She’s running to take on Trump’s chaos and corruption and put an end to ICE’s lawlessness.

But winning won’t be easy. Donald Trump and the National Republican Congressional Committee are all in to support the Republican nominee. He’s even the highest-raising Republican challenger in all of California.

I flipped a Republican seat in 2018, and what I’m seeing in Marni’s race reminds me a lot of that. I know what she needs right now is a surge of grassroots support.
