I'm stressed

Hi! It’s Tamara, Sherrod’s Digital Fundraising Director. 👋

I’m the one who’s tracking donations to emails just like this one, and right now, I’m stressed. With our critical FEC fundraising deadline less than a week away, we’re falling behind on our goal. Not by just a few dollars, either. If something doesn’t turn around, we’re going to miss our goal by tens of thousands of dollars.

When I set this $3 million goal for June, I knew it was an ambitious target. But I also knew that this grassroots team always steps up for Sherrod at big moments – because you’ve done it in the past. I’m confident we can close the gap in time, and honestly, we have no choice.

We need leaders like Sherrod Brown in the Senate

Hi there, it's Marc Elias.

For years, I've gone to court to stop Trump and defend democracy. Now, I'm working every day to safeguard voting rights, uphold the rule of law, and protect your freedom.

But I won't lie: Trump and Senate Republicans' actions are actively putting all of that at risk – and it's going to take ALL of us to stop their destruction. And right now, that means helping leaders like Sherrod Brown win so we can restore a Democratic Senate majority.

Grassroots supporters like you power our fight to flip the Senate so we can put a stop to the GOP's extremism and harmful policies. Will you split $5 between Sherrod Brown's campaign and the DSCC to help us stop Trump's enablers and flip the Senate blue?

I'll explain:

Donald Trump is ignoring due process and openly mocking the courts. He's threatening the very foundation of our democracy by attacking fair, free, and secure elections. And he and his Republican friends are going after voting rights – the very bedrock of our democracy.

But the DSCC and I are fighting back: As soon as Trump signed an executive order to interfere in our elections and threaten voting rights, we filed suit against him on behalf of Democrats nationwide. And the good news is, we've already notched some key victories in the case!

The fight isn't over yet. Donald Trump is an aspiring dictator – not just for a single day – and dictators never willingly give up power. We have to take it from them. And that's where all of us have the chance to make a difference.

Winning the Senate is the first step, and Democrats need to flip just four seats to claim the majority and wrest power away from the GOP. Sherrod Brown's race in Ohio is one of our best chances to kick a vulnerable, Trump-enabling Republican out of the Senate (and the latest polling shows it's a dead heat).

War took my childhood

Friend, when you flee your home in the middle of the night, there’s no time to grab your toothbrush, shampoo or other hygiene items.

You grab your child and you run.

The things most of us reach for every morning without thinking — they get left behind.

In the middle of a cold, rainy night in northeastern Syria, Rawan* grabbed what she could — one small bag — and fled with her husband and 1-year-old daughter, Helen.*

Their escape was difficult: Rawan was 9 months pregnant. She spent 8 hours crammed into the back of a car with three other families. She was terrified of getting sick, and scared of losing her baby.

When they finally arrived at the temporary shelter, everything in that one small bag was soaked from the rain.

But Rawan didn’t stop. She never does.

War has shaped nearly her entire life. She’s been displaced five times. The first time, she was a child herself. This time, she’s a mother, doing everything in her power to make sure her family survives.

Rawan and her family hadn't showered for 10 days when they arrived at the shelter.

For a pregnant mother and a 1-year-old child, going days or weeks without basic hygiene isn’t just uncomfortable — it’s dangerous. In crowded shelters, infections spread quickly. Without sanitary pads, women face serious health risks. Without soap and safe water, a baby grows more vulnerable every single day.

I am exhausted. I am scared. I am a mother who is trying to survive and protect her children.
