Buying gifts is a luxury

The holiday season is a time for celebration, rest, and reflection. A time to decompress and enjoy the company of friends and family. A time to give gifts and remind folks how thankful you are to have them in your life.

But unfortunately, for many people in Ohio and across the country, this year's holiday season is not a cheerful one: Health care costs are about to skyrocket, utility bills keep rising, and food and everyday goods are more expensive than ever. Buying gifts is a luxury.

And Jon Husted has the nerve to say that there's no affordability crisis in our state? It's happening in other states – but not ours, he says. He believes that the solution to this crisis is for Ohioans to make more money.
