3 reasons why I need your help tonight
SF Chronicle: “Porter has suddenly vaulted to the front of the pack”
With Vice President Harris announcing yesterday that she isn't running for California Governor, all eyes have been on our campaign. Here's what one columnist at the SF Chronicle is writing:
Pundits are catching up to what we've been seeing on the ground all along: when voters hear about Katie's vision for a vibrant California where all families can thrive, they get behind her.
Our campaign is picking up momentum, and our task between now and the election next year is to do what we've already been doing: making sure we reach Californians from Eureka to Encinitas with our message.
WIll you chip in $5 today to help us ramp up our campaign and power us to victory?
Thanks for being part of this movement,
Team KP

Katie is running to be California's next governor because California and our country need a leader who will stand up to Trump to lower costs, protect our rights, and combat climate change. |

Make or break moment
Yesterday, Vice President Harris announced that she would not be running for California Governor.
Many Californians, including myself, appreciate Kamala's long history of dedication and service to our state. Now that she's made clear that she's staying out, the race for California Governor is going to kick into higher gear.
You can expect to see new polls in the weeks and months to come, and a bunch of political donors and organizations that have been waiting to see what happens will be getting off the sidelines.
In terms of how I'm spending my time, I'm going to keep doing what I've been doing for the past five months, which is getting into every part and pocket of California and meeting people where they are. To represent a big state like California, I couldn't wait to hear people's stories and bring people together to work on solutions for our biggest challenges.
But on the money side, the reality is that winning elections here is expensive, and outside groups are going to be making decisions very soon about whether to flood money into this race.
For a campaign like ours that rejects money from corporations, lobbyists, and executives at Big Pharma, Big Oil, and Big Banks, this is a make or break moment. We're counting on grassroots donors like you to help us show everyone that our campaign is strong and not going anywhere.
Thanks,
Katie
