But for troops deployed in some of the world’s most dangerous places to protect our freedom, it’ll just be another Thursday. Another day in a lonely barracks, thousands of miles away from their loved ones. Another day of the same old mess hall food. Another day of hoping they’ll be able to find a secure internet connection to call home before their kids go to bed. It’s up to us to brighten this day for them.
As the country gets ready to celebrate, the USO is determined to uplift our troops on this important day by providing at least 2,500 Thanksgiving meals at military bases and USO Centers across the world.**
And we’re so glad to share that the NFL is matching all gifts, but we’re counting on YOU to help us reach this ambitious goal by midnight TONIGHT.

Spending Thanksgiving far away from their loved ones is just one of many, many sacrifices our troops make throughout the year in service of our country, asking nothing of us in return. We may not be able to bring them home or fully understand the challenges they go through — but we can make sure they enjoy a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal.

The USO
*The NFL is matching all gifts to the USO through a USO Direct Mail, email, and text message campaign, dollar for dollar, up to a total of $50,000, through December 15, 2023.
**Your contribution will be joined with the contributions of others and used where it is needed most to strengthen America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country.
†The USO has established a goal to help fund 2,500 meals through emails and text messages through November 18, 2023.
