As a mom of three, I'm used to mess. But let me tell you…there's a LOT of work to be done to clean up Washington so that Congress actually works for working people, not just the ultra-rich.
That's why I'm proud to be "doing Congress" differently than most:
- I don't take a dime from corporate PACs or federal lobbyists, and I'm one of just eleven Members to make that commitment. I also don't take money from Big Oil, Big Pharma, or Big Bank CEOs.
- Congress brought back "earmarks" in 2021, after they had been banned in 2011 because the process led to corruption and waste. I was the only Democrat to oppose them.
- I'm leading the fight to ban Members of Congress and their spouses from trading stocks. It's plain wrong that Members are getting rich off information we learn in private briefings.
I wouldn't be able to compete in this outrageously expensive Senate race if it wasn't for grassroots support. Can you make a contribution today to help power my work?
