| You and I know that it took a lot of hard work to win here in Pennsylvania. Because of the support of folks like you, I won with the most votes in Pennsylvania gubernatorial history and flipped counties Donald Trump won in 2020. But the work doesn't end on Election Day. That's only just the beginning. |
| Since taking office, I've delivered for Pennsylvanian families. And we've celebrated some pretty big wins: making child care more affordable, investing in youth mental health, bringing jobs to Pennsylvania, combating wage theft, hiring more teachers, fighting the opioid epidemic, and so much more. At the same time, I'm working with President Biden to ensure that he has a strong partner here in Pennsylvania as he fights for his agenda and runs for reelection. |
| But if things had gone differently on Election Day, we'd be looking at a very different Pennsylvania. |
| My opponent was dead set on pushing his dangerous, extremist ideology. If he had won this race, he'd be fighting tooth-and-nail to ban abortion in Pennsylvania. He'd be attacking our elections and pushing dangerous conspiracy theories. He'd be serving his megadonors and a MAGA agenda, not families. |
| Thankfully, people like you stood with me and fought for the leadership that Pennsylvanians deserve. And together, we built a winning grassroots campaign. But there are 14 governors' races on the ballot in 2023 and 2024. These races are just as important as mine. With the Republican Party pushing such a radical agenda, defending and expanding our blue firewall has never been more important. |
