I always knew this race would be tight, but recent polls are showing me in a dead heat with my opponent – Mitch McConnell’s protégé, Daniel Cameron. Cameron is McConnell’s handpicked candidate for governor. And when you see his record, you’ll understand why: he’s an extremist that puts partisanship before doing his job, protecting our communities, or prioritizing our kids’ futures. We cannot let him reach the Governor’s Office. But despite his record, the latest Republican poll shows this race tied – 47 - 47%. I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve done for Kentucky. We’ve grown the economy, adding tens of thousands of new jobs and delivering Kentucky’s lowest unemployment rate in history. We’ve defended access to healthcare for more than 400,000 Kentuckians. We’ve expanded voting rights across the Commonwealth. And throughout it all, I’ve never hesitated to use my veto power as a last line of defense against the worst of the far-right’s extreme agenda. Team, I’ve been in tough fights before. In 2019, I beat my opponent, then Gov. Matt Bevin, by just 5,136 votes – a razor-thin margin. The pundits said we couldn’t win, but we overcame the odds with a huge victory – and that was all thanks to supporters like you. Now, I’m asking you to believe in me once more.
