I'm not one for BS, so I'm going to give you the straight answer to a question I've been getting:
What will happen to your House seat? Isn't it an easy flip for Republicans?
I'm confident Democrats will hold this seat. This district was carried by President Biden by over ten points in 2020. It was particularly competitive last November because it was a tough year for Democrats across the country. But in a presidential year, and with this Senate race increasing turnout amongst Democrats, we have a clear path to victory.
Here's more good news: Our 2022 Republican opponent is running again, and should he advance to the general, the Democrat in the race will have a big advantage. We spent millions last year showing Orange County voters what this guy is about—he's an extremist and a lawbreaking lobbyist, as our many TV ads pointed out.⬇️
Thanks to the support of grassroots donors, I've been able to win three congressional races here in Orange County. The millions of dollars and many hours we've put into mail, digital, TV ads, organizing, and door-knocking don't just translate to wins every other November. They translate into changing the political lean of an entire area, and make it easier for Democrats to win for decades to come.
Democrats can take back control of the House by flipping just a few seats, and California could make all the difference. I know how to campaign in tough areas, and I love doing it. California's next Senator will have the opportunity to guide Democrats' messaging and priorities, and can help us win up and down the ballot in purple areas in and outside of California.
