I grew up in Mansfield, Ohio, in a community of ironworkers, carpenters, autoworkers, and electricians. I spent summers working on my family's farm. Today, I live in Cleveland with my wife, Connie, and our two rescue dogs, Franklin and Walter. I'll be honest with you, friend: The Ohio I live in now looks a lot different than the one I grew up in. Over the years, we've seen manufacturing jobs shipped overseas because of bad trade deals, prices skyrocketing as wages failed to keep up, and hopes for a comfortable retirement dashed. That's why I've devoted my life to fighting for the Dignity of Work – the idea that hard work should pay off for everyone, no matter who you are, where you live, or what kind of work you do. | | Every day in the Senate, I'm fighting for you. But I'm facing my toughest race yet, and I need your help to win. Right now, Mitch McConnell and the GOP need to flip only two seats to retake Senate control – and experts at Politico say it could all come down to Ohio.
