Polling in this race is slipping

Hey,

I have to be honest, we have less than a week until the last FEC deadline before early voting starts in Ohio, and I don’t want to sugarcoat how things look right now.

When Fairshake, a crypto-backed super PAC, announced it was spending $30 million on this campaign, we saw overwhelming support from everyday people who stand against the $238 million in Republican spending I’m now up against.

But since then, our fundraising has hit a deep slump, and in the next few days we may have to make budget cuts – while dark-money groups get to spend millions a day in Ohio. Combined Republican groups are outspending us 7:1 every day right now.

We know that not everyone can chip in – and we don’t expect folks to donate to every email we send out, but with enough support we can get through the finish line and come out strong in November.

Will you please chip in $5 to my campaign today? This fundraising slump is coming at the worst possible time, and we have to close the gap between my campaign and the special interest groups spending in Ohio.

This race is in a dead heat, and Republicans know the spending they are pouring in will move the needle in their direction, and we can’t afford to let that happen. The latest ad blitz has brought this race into a statistical tie, and a poll released yesterday by Quantum Polling has us 47-47 against my opponent.

Every election expert has said the same thing – that this race is anyone’s game. We’re one of two races consistently ranked a “toss-up” by every major race rater. That’s not an accident.

We’re days away from the last reporting deadline before early voting starts in Ohio. If we show any signs of weakness, National Republicans will jump at the opportunity to keep spending hundreds of millions in Ohio. This race will be the most expensive nonpresidential race in history, and it is up to us to meet the moment.
