I was supposed to be walking onto the debate stage in a few hours. But at the last moment, the debate was cancelled by its organizers who elevated a billionaire-backed candidate over others in the race.
Billionaires shouldn't get to decide who makes it on the debate stage—voters should. But the only people who win by cancelling the debate entirely are the corporations and ultra-wealthy who are trying to buy this election.
We can't let them win.
That's why I'm going LIVE on Instagram tonight at 8:00pm PT. I'm going to share the same message that I would have shared tonight on stage—that Californians are sick of a status quo that works for billionaires and giant corporations, while the rest of us are left behind.
