On Wednesday, our team wrote to you about a big shake up in our race: Vice President Kamala Harris made it official that she is not running for California Governor.
Immediately, Porter Supporters jumped into action. Thanks to folks like you, we raised over $250,000 in the first 36 hours after Kamala's announcement—and without a single dime from corporations or lobbyists.
Our campaign is strong, and it's only getting stronger. We're in a solid position to advance out of the primary next June and win the whole thing in November. And that means Katie Porter will be California's next Governor.
But we can't take anything for granted. A sizable number of voters are still undecided, so anything could happen.
We can't let up. Now's the time to keep up the momentum and double down on the things we've been doing that we know are working: meeting Californians where they are, listening to their concerns, and bringing everyone together to work on solutions.
