I know these election results aren't what we hoped. It's downright terrifying to think about Donald Trump back in the White House and Republicans in control of the Senate.
We can feel sad, upset, and scared, but we can't stay down. Our fundamental freedoms, our planet, and our democracy are too precious to give up without a fight. If you agree, will you chip in so that we're ready to stand up to Trump and his cronies?
I know what it means to take on Donald Trump. I ran for Congress as a first-time candidate to stand up to him on behalf of Californians. When I got to the House, I wasn't afraid to stare down Trump officials when they tried to hurt families, or to call out his attempts to sell our federal agencies to the highest bidder.
Soon, Americans across the country are going to look to California to defend our rights—from environmental protection to reproductive care to LGBTQ+ rights. We are going to meet this moment, and we aren't going to give MAGA extremists an inch.
