Good government oversight makes a real difference in people's lives.
Oversight: it's an often overlooked responsibility of Congress, but it's Congress' job to oversee how taxpayer dollars are spent, how government programs are run, and even hold corporations accountable when they harm or cheat consumers.
That work often gets ignored.
Good government oversight makes a real difference in people's lives. Take the Inflation Reduction Act for example. It included tax credits for households that switched to more energy efficient appliances. But a year later those tax credits still aren't available—which is why I'm pushing leaders of both parties and doing what I can to get these credits enacted and make sure people actually know about them.
As a former consumer protection attorney, I'm passionate about getting oversight right. Can you pitch in $20 today to send me to the U.S. Senate to do this important work?
