We can make sure the rich follow the rules while working people don't get left behind.

People often ask me why I'm running for governor. One reason is simple: I've dedicated my career to protecting consumers—I even wrote the book on modern consumer law!
I'll explain more, but first—if you're ready to make California work for working families, chip in to my campaign today.

As a law professor, I saw firsthand how the odds are stacked against ordinary people. When massive corporations break the rules, it's working families that end up paying the price. I want to change that system to give everyone a fair shot at getting ahead, no matter where they come from.
That's why I wrote the book on modern consumer law: to make sure people know the rules and corporations can't take advantage of us without being held accountable.
In Congress, I even used that book to grill Trump's Consumer Financial Protection Bureau director and expose predatory loan practices being used on people just trying to get by. We can make sure the rich follow the rules while working people don't get left behind.
California faces big challenges today. The cost of living is out of control, our housing crisis is worse than ever, and Donald Trump is threatening our very democracy. These are problems people feel every single day.
I'm running for governor because I know how to take on these fights and win. But I can't do it alone. I'm counting on grassroots supporters like you to power this campaign.
Will you pitch in $5 today to help me keep up this fight for California families?
