The Cleveland Guardians made the playoffs, friend! I've been a huge fan since I was a kid, so not only am I excited to watch my hometown team compete for a World Series win, but they're also an inspiration to this campaign. Here's what I'm talking about:

The Guardians are being outspent 3-to-1 by other teams, just like us. Teams like the Yankees pay hand over fist for multi-million-dollar contracts, but the Guardians' players continue to win with their grit, determination, and resilience. They might be outspent, but they'll never be outworked, just like our campaign.

Some will say the Guardians are the underdogs, just like us. Some folks wrote off the Guardians in the preseason when their stats weren't looking so good. So just like the polls might show me trailing my opponent by 2 points, some folks might be counting us out, but we're going to keep fighting to pull ahead and win.

Experts say the Guardians are defying the odds, just like us. NPR said the Guardians needed to "defy predictions" to make the playoffs while The New York Times said I needed to "defy gravity" to win reelection. Defying expectations is what we do.

The Guardians might not win any fashion awards anytime soon, and neither will I. I've got a reputation for wrinkled suits and unruly hair, while Forbes called the Guardians "not glamorous." But we don't care about all that, we just want to win for Ohioans.
