I make cookies for people. People love my cookies. I want to chronicle my cookies as the following happens:

1. New friends eat cookies for the first time...

2. Old friends get cookies again...

3. People ask about the cookies...

By the way, I cannot eat my cookies. I am gluten intolerant.

These cookies are all about you...

I do not have cookie experiences everyday, but for the 3-4 days a week when something MAGICAL happens, I would like to share it with all of you...

How a Simple Hat Sparked a Powerful Connection — and How You Can Show Your Support

Hi there, it's Sydney with the USO. I want to share a story with you that beautifully illustrates the impact your support has on our service members — and how something as simple as a hat can create powerful connections.

Recently, while I was enjoying a day at the dog park, I had an unexpected and heartwarming encounter. I was wearing a USO hat, something I often do, when a woman approached me. She introduced herself as a former Army Logistics Officer and immediately recognized the USO logo on my hat.

She told me how much the USO had meant to her during her time in the service — how we were there for her and her fellow soldiers when they needed it most, offering comfort, resources, and a sense of home, no matter where they were. She said seeing that hat brought back memories of those moments and reminded her of the incredible support network the USO provides.

That brief conversation reaffirmed for me why we do what we do. It also underscored the importance of the community that stands behind us — people like you who make our work possible.

Today, I'm excited to invite you to become part of that visible community of support. For a limited time, when you donate $20 or more to support our heroes, you can receive your very own USO hat. It's more than just a piece of headwear; it's a symbol of your commitment to our service members, a way to show them that they are not alone.

Every time you wear your USO hat, you'll be helping to spark connections just like the one I experienced at the dog park. It's a way to say, "I stand with those who serve."

Your generosity helps ensure that the USO can continue to be there for our military members, providing the care and support they need, whether they're overseas or at home.

Thank you for all that you do to support our mission. Your contributions are the reason stories like this happen every day.

Sydney Jones, USO
