Team Tomorrow: Supporting Children Impacted by the Climate Crisis. At only 12 years old, Mirna is one of millions who were affected by the powerful hurricanes that ravaged Nicaragua in 2020. They destroyed her home and damaged her family's crops, putting their livelihood at risk. Mirna's experience is unfortunately not uncommon, as millions of children stand to suffer the devastating consequences of climate change – consequences like more frequent and more dangerous weather events than ever before. Thanks to Team Tomorrow members, Save the Children has been able to assist children like Mirna and many others in the immediate aftermath of disaster – and we're committed to remaining in communities as long as they need support.
