Expelling George Santos wasn't a vote I took lightly. But after a thorough Ethics Committee investigation, it was clear George Santos didn't just lie about his resume—he used running for office as an entire get-rich-quick scheme, blatantly violating campaign finance law and stealing from his supporters.
Now that he's out, we need to focus on flipping this seat blue. Republicans hold an extremely slim majority in Congress, and flipping this seat now will get us closer to regaining the House majority in November 2024.
Americans deserve to know their elected officials are working for them.
