Hey there, I'm VERY happy to be back home in California after three long weeks of Speakerless-drama in the House. Now, you can bet I'll be doing everything I can to hold Mike Johnson accountable.
That spooky situation aside, today I'm in San Bernardino and Rancho Cucamonga meeting with voters.
This race remains highly competitive. Polling consistently shows us in a good place, but we've been outraised each quarter by another candidate in this race. So right now, I'm really focused on both raising more money, and stretching every dollar further.
Earlier this month, a special election was called. This is a confusing situation, but here's what you need to know: candidates' names will appear on the same ballot multiple times. Because of this, contribution limits have DOUBLED. Normally, each individual can give up to $6,600. Now they can give $13,200. Politico analysis shows that puts our campaign at a huge disadvantage, with our opponent Adam Schiff raising around 10x the big money that we do.
That, is a fact that scares me more than any Halloween costume could! But look, I know we have the grassroots strength to win this race. To help us close the gap, I have to ask—can you chip in a few bucks today? Thanks for considering, I can't do this without you.
