Together, with the support of grassroots Democrats like you, we've raised $11 million so far this cycle. We need to do everything possible to raise the resources needed to win critical elections this year, in 2024, and beyond. Here's the thing: that doesn't mean we have $11 million tucked away. State legislative elections happen every year, all year round. In 2023, we've already faced more than 30 special elections – and we have 19 more on the books this year. On top of that, we're gearing up for competitive elections in Virginia this November, where every seat in the House is on the ballot. We beat the odds last year, flipping chambers in states like Michigan and Pennsylvania. But we have razor-thin margins – and in Pennsylvania, where we've already defended our House majority, we're facing another majority-making election next month. Defending our majorities is an ongoing fight – even in "off-years." What we're up against Republicans already know the stakes – and their fundraising numbers prove it. They've used their power in statehouses to roll back our fundamental freedoms, even when Democrats have held power in Washington. The GOP is pouring millions of dollars into states like Virginia– and they won't be stopping any time soon. We proved in 2022 that when we have the resources, we can overcome state Republicans' cash advantage. We know this is longer than our typical emails. But it's important that you know exactly what's going on this cycle – where we've been, where we're going, and what we're doing with your generous donations.
