Friend – early this morning, House Republicans passed the most pro-billionaire, anti-middle-class budget I have ever seen.
This budget puts funding for programs like Medicaid and food stamps through the wood chipper. With experts estimating no fewer than 13.7 MILLION people in red and blue districts alike will LOSE their health coverage – that's thanks to Republicans kicking millions off Medicaid, sabotaging the Affordable Care Act, and refusing to extend tax credits I helped write in the Inflation Reduction Act to lower premiums.
The brutal reality is that it's all to make way for Trump's No. 1 priority: giving TRILLIONS in tax cuts to billionaires.
And what's worse: Basic math shows this bill will still send the deficit skyrocketing by over $4 trillion. So much for the GOP insisting that their cuts are somehow fiscally responsible.
But Republicans just don't care. Whatever Donald Trump wants comes first. I want everyone to know that Democrats do care.
We cannot – and will not – stand by as they try to cut off lifelines like Medicaid and food stamps and then turn around and cut a massive check to billionaires like President Trump and Elon Musk.
So now that the bill is headed to the Senate, I'm going to fight to kill this bill with everything I've got. A sudden SURGE of grassroots support tonight toward my $30,000 monthly goal would be cold, hard proof that we're FED UP with the GOP selling us out to feed Trump's ego and give tax breaks to the wealthy.
