| | | Friends: For those of you not following every detail of my Senate race, I wanted to let you know that tonight I'll be debating my opponent, Mike Rogers, for the first time. | | As a refresher, despite painting himself as a moderate in the 20 years he was a politician, he has done what so many have unfortunately done before him: Said whatever he thinks he needs to say to win this seat. In many cases, that means touting Trump's extreme positions as an election denier. In other cases, he thinks his 20-year voting record won't matter and he has tried to position himself as more reasonable on things like choice. | But one thing about debates is that there is a lot of preparation and practice before the actual event. So the last week has been all about "debate prep." That means we've had virtually no time for fundraising. That's fine. Fundraising is not my favorite part of the job by any stretch. But it also means I am hoping supporters like you can help fill that gap. | If winning Michigan's Senate seat is important to you, then I am asking you to consider splitting a donation of $5, $50, or whatever you can afford between my campaign and Catherine Cortez Masto's. While I'm in debate prep, the team will put your donation right to work in the most cost-effective way possible to keep this seat blue in November. | If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your split donation between Elissa Slotkin and Catherine Cortez Masto will go through immediately: | Thank you! | Elissa | | | | | | |
