Friend, I want to take a moment to welcome Ohio students, educators, administrators, and staff back to school. Educators and staff have spent the summer preparing their classrooms and lesson plans, and now, it's finally time to hit the ground running.

Teachers have always answered the call to serve, going above and beyond to ensure our children have a foundation of skills and tools that will last a lifetime – and I'm grateful for their tireless dedication to our students and their futures.

That's why I'm working in the Senate to support teachers and pass policies that allow them to do their jobs.

From fighting for fair wages and safer schools to cutting taxes to help teachers cover classroom expenses when they dip into their own pockets, I will always fight for Ohio educators.

But my MAGA opponent can't say the same. From abolishing the U.S. Department of Education to cutting public school funding, he's backing terrible pieces of Trump and Vance's Project 2025. It's an affront to our students, our teachers, and our communities.

I'm running for reelection to continue fighting for our students and teachers, but the truth is, I'm in the fight of my life to defend Ohio's seat and our Democratic Senate majority. CNN is calling me one of the most vulnerable senators on the ballot, and my MAGA opponent is outspending me on TV ads.
