My race against an anti-abortion, anti-women, Trump-endorsed candidate was recently classified as a toss-up, so I want to get straight to the point: I need your help. On the other hand, my opponent Mark Robinson has dedicated himself to chaos and extremism: He’s called public educators “wicked people” and has boasted that he has “AR-15s in case the government gets too big for its britches.” He’s pushing for a total abortion ban without exceptions – even in cases of rape or incest. And he’ll strip public school funding and undermine our teachers – he even wants to repeal the Affordable Care Act with no replacement. But here’s the thing: winning won’t be easy. The polls show this race is neck-and-neck. That means there’s a lot riding on this end-of-quarter reporting deadline, especially with Robinson on the ballot. Right-wing national Republicans who support him are going to do everything they can (including spending big $$$) to flip this seat from blue to red, and they’re not stopping at North Carolina – they’ll send their resources anywhere there’s an extremist on the ballot, including federally to Donald Trump. So when a grassroots supporter like you steps up to power this fight, it’s more proof that we’re building a campaign capable of defeating the GOP’s money machine and winning this competitive race.
