However, I’m proud to say that Democrats – from President Biden, to my fellow Democratic governors, to, importantly, grassroots supporters like you – haven’t backed down in the face of these extremist attacks. We’ve only gotten stronger and continued to fight for what we know is right. In fact, last quarter alone, nearly 100,000 grassroots donors chipped in to elect Democratic governors, more than 35,000 people donated to the DGA for the very first time, and more than 1.2 MILLION actions were taken by supporters like you to help our cause. But I’ll be honest... it’s becoming clearer each day that we have to step up our efforts, because MAGA Republicans are raking in millions that could help their destructive plans become a reality. Trump raised $52 million after becoming a convicted felon, and the GOP is pouring money into other crucial races across the country, like the governor’s race in battleground North Carolina. I’ve seen firsthand the real impact that grassroots support has had in the past, team: with this DGA team’s help, we’ve elected Democratic governors who are investing in education and banishing hunger from our schools, expanding access to the ballot box, protecting reproductive rights, and so much more.
