It was developed by an unemployed architect, and the first Scrabble factory was in an old schoolhouse in rural Connecticut where they produced 12 games an hour. The chairman of Macy's came across the game while on vacation, and the rest, as they say, is history. | | Scrabble's success story reminds me of the American dream and all of the reasons our fight for the Dignity of Work is so important. The 1930s were a tough time for our country, but Franklin D.
