Friend, it's Gov. Gavin Newsom. I'm fighting every day to win progress for families here in California. But to move our entire country forward and defeat the GOP extremists who are pushing us backward, we need a strong Democratic majority in the Senate.

If you've read almost anything about the 2024 elections, you know that Senate Democrats are facing an uphill battle.

We have to defend a massive 23 seats across the country this fall — nearly half of the entire Democratic caucus. Republicans, on the other hand, only have to defend 11. Our resources are going to be spread incredibly thin. That alone puts us at a massive fundraising disadvantage — not to mention the GOP's army of megadonors waiting in the wings. It's no wonder why election experts have called the Senate map a "GOP dream."

Listen, if Republicans retake power, everything that we care about will be at risk. We already know that key leaders within the GOP want to ban abortion nationwide, cut Social Security and Medicare, undo critical gun safety reforms, give ultra-wealthy Americans another massive tax break, and weaken our democracy even further. And that's only what they've admitted out loud.

We simply cannot afford to let the GOP gain control of the Senate. But Kirsten is facing a tough battle. Some might think New York is a safe blue state, but in 2022, Republicans nearly flipped the governorship in a damaging red wave. Now, following their best election cycle in decades, Republicans have their sights set on Kirsten's vital Senate seat.
